Pupil voice is valued at St. Laurence. We have two PALS Ambassadors (Hope and Oliver) who are responsible for delivering the PALS programme to KS1 during lunch time. This involves teaching the younger children how to play games. Our PALS Ambassadors also lead Sports Council.

St Laurence School Council allows children's views of sport to be communicated to ensure we are catering for the needs of all pupils. We held Sports Council Elections where 2 children from each class were nominated as representatives. The Sports Council comprised of 14 members assisted by Mrs Hall, who is the PE lead teacher. The Sports Council meet weekly or fortnightly depending on the focus from the sports action plan, discussing issues our classes have raised about school sport and coming up with solutions to improve PE across school. They are responsible for delivering worships to the whole school about sports initiatives.
Sports Values Awards
Sports Council's aim is to improve the awareness of sport in school. Each week, children are encouraged to nominate other pupils for one of our Sports Values Awards promoted by Premier League Primary Stars. The four values are: being fair, being connected, being inspiring and being ambitious.
