Miss Pilkington's Moving Pictures (Y1)
Miss Pilkington has taught Y1 all about simple mechanisms which allow pictures to move. These are sliders and simple levers, including pivots, which move pictures up and down, side to side and in a circular motion. Y1 have been learning about the Great Fire of London in History, so this project was a great way to bring their History learning to life and make moving pictures which explain this important historical event. They designed then made their own moving pictures, and evaluated their success, looking at what they might change next time.
