PTFA End of Year Report and Accounts

Welcome to St Laurence’s PTFA. We are proud to have a very active PTFA and constantly work to provide fun events for our children and their families and to raise valuable funds for the benefit of our school. Over the past year, we have hosted may events including discos, a Christmas Fair, Easter Bingo, Fun Runs and Pop-Up Shops as well as many others.  We also have ongoing fundraising initiatives, including:

The 200 club is a monthly prize draw. Membership is renewed each year but you are able to join at any point. Just pick up a membership form from the School Office.  Annual membership is £12.00 per number to enter a monthly draw. One half of the money raised goes towards much needed resources for the school, while the other half is paid out in lottery prize money to club members every month. First prize is £25, second prize £10 and third prize £5. The draw will take place on the last Friday of each month in assembly.

Stikins name labels, not only take the pain out of naming your children’s uniform but contribute to our funds with every purchase. Just use code 20341 every time you place your order and we receive the commission. Our school code is 20341

Easy Fundraising is the UK’s leading charity reward shopping site. Just register and shop online with over 3,300 popular retailers who donate a percentage of the purchase price to our school funds.
The funds we raise go directly to providing a variety of resources and benefits for school, including IT equipment, outdoor play equipment, books, funding towards school trips, treats for the children and many other projects.
All this is only possible with the amazing help we receive from parents and friends. All help with our events is hugely appreciated, not only by the school but more importantly by our children, who enjoy the benefits of the funds we raise.

As well as the team who fulfil official roles on the PTFA, we have several other amazing members who work very hard to support all our events. Our meetings are informal, and anyone is welcome to come along it doesn’t commit you in any way. If you think that you could help in anyway, we would love to hear from you and welcome your ideas. No time given is too small.

We also have a class WhatsApp group for each year group that is run by a parent in your year. They help with reminders and post up-and-coming events run by the PTFA. It is also a good group for parents to ask each other things related to the class, and to have other parents’ numbers for parties and play dates. If you wish to be added to the group, just send us an email or message us on Facebook with your name, your child’s name and the phone number you would like adding.
We publicise all our events through School Comms and our Facebook Page - Chorley St Laurence’s School PTFA.
