Our choir

We have about 30 children in our choir. Anyone from KS2 is welcome to join and we meet on Monday lunch times.

We sing at several annual events. The Autumn Term is full of concerts with local church and community groups,  as well as our own harvest and carol services at St Laurence's Church.

In Spring, we often join other schools for the Education Sunday service and prepare for our Easter services in school.  The Highlight of the year is taking part in the Sing Together concerts at the King Georges Hall in Blackburn which are an amazing experience for the children.

In the Summer term we sing at the Summer Fair.

As well as preparing for concerts, we have a lot of fun in rehearsals, learning new songs, silly songs and old favourites, as well as trying out musical instruments from time to time.

Thanks to all the people who turn out to support our events. It would not be the same without you! 

Sing Together 2019

Yet again the staff at Blackburn Cathedral Outreach Team put on an incredible week of concerts.  We are so proud to be part of this annual event.  As always I was very proud of the children and was relieved to get through the teachers song.  Our group song this year was Hey Mr Miller which included lots of fun actions.  A special well done to our two soloists who did St Laurence's proud.
