This is the information which will make life in year 6 easier.
PE takes place on Tuesdays, so you need your kit in school. Trainers are useful if we are likely to go outside and pumps are needed for the hall. It is best to keep both in your bag throughout the year.
Reading records will be collected in on Fridays and children should read at least three times a week and must be signed by a parent or guardian. Most children are now on free readers.
Spellings will be given out on a Wednesday and the test will take place the following Wednesday. The worksheets that accompany the spellings need to be completed.
Maths/English homework will be given out on a Friday and needs to be handed in by the following Friday.
Homework is an important part of the transition to Secondary School and it is vital that it is completed and handed in.
Library books may be changed on any day, before registration. It's best to do this before registration. We also have access to the extra books on the trolley library on Monday and Thursday.
Jobs are part of our year 6 responsibilities. Everyone has a job to do at some stage in the week, to help out in school.
Music lessons happen on Mondays (brass and woodwind), Tuesdays (violin and cello), and Fridays (guitar and keyboard).
