There are LOTS of things to enjoy outside the usual classroom routine. Here's a sample:
Play At Lunchtime (alias PALs) is part of growing up! Our class is divided into teams and each week, each team spends one lunchtime leading play activities with another class, ranging from Reception to Year 2. It sounds easy, but we soon found out that simply playing with those innocent looking reception children is SERIOUSLY hard work! We try to make sure all children are involved and taking part as nobody wants to feel left out. PALs helps them to find pals of their own.
Activities include playing tig, skipping, catching games and balance skills.
2014's summer production was a re-enactment of Robin Hood.
Hoodwinked is a story about Robin Hood and his merry men fighting against the evil Sheriff and his henchmen. Throughout the production we watched Robin Hood try and win the hand of Maid Marion, the friars lapse into their lazy ways and the Sheriff trying to outwit the brave Robin Hood.
The cast were extremely good and many thanks to the choir on both sides.
2014's farewell trip was a huge success they went bowling, to the cinema and Frankie and Bennys! Mr Barrow and Mr Glynn enjoyed it so much they got told off for laughing during the film! Good luck to year 6 at high school.
